I designed this DVD Box Art and On-Disc Art for filmmaker Renee Peperone, for “Remembering Lawrence: a film for Anna Halprin. The film was inspired by a series of erotic drawings sent to Anna, a choreographer, by her husband, architect Lawrence Halprin, while he was stationed at sea during WWII. However, the drawings were not discovered until after Lawrence’s death, nearly 70 years later. Inspired by these drawings, Anna was inspired to create a piece to be performed on the outdoor dance deck surrounded by redwoods and a participatory audience.
